A bit about the role: 

You will be our data analyst with competency within MSSQL, database architecture and Power BI.  

You will be a part of a strong professional environment and a part of the company’s development team. The position will report to the VP Technology. 


A bit about what you will be doing when you join us: 

  • Take initiative and translate business needs to analytical questions. 
  • Collaborate closely with data and analytics colleagues to ensure successful delivery of products and releases. 
  • Conduct preliminary research to identify actionable maritime business insights for internal stakeholders. 
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate and optimise existing product offering. 
  • Deliver verbal and written reports for requested projects and products. 


A bit about you 

  • Higher education such as a bachelor or similar within computer science. Higher education graduates are welcome to apply. Experience can compensate for formal education. 
  • Proven abilities to think, structure and present answers to analytical questions methodologically. 
  • Proven abilities to take initiative and to be a problem-solver. 
  • Proven success in uncovering actionable insights in data by using modelling, advanced statistics, and analytics. 
  • Proven success managing time and juggling multiple projects in a high growth environment where priorities shift fast. 
  • Fluent working knowledge of analytics, theories, and statistics in a human-factored context. 
  • Working knowledge in modern business intelligence application: MS PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, SAS or equivalent. 
  • Working knowledge in executing database queries and conducting analysis. 
  • Strong communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders 


Nice to have but not essential 

  • General understanding about Microsoft Azure components: Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage V2, Azure SQL DB 
  • Experience in producing client facing dashboards 
  • Experience in working with infrastructure related industries (railways, power supplies, shipping, aviation, etc) 
  • Experience in people analytics, in particular competency and performance management
